Max loses momentum on the start, but stays on the out with clear road ahead of him, while Russel is tucked in behind Piastri with nowhere to go and road ahead limited, Max knows that if he tries to get side by side to Piastri he would not only pass Russel but also put himself in position to attack for P1, and he does just that, going and turning into Turn1 aggressively side by side with Piastri, he managed to pull this brilliantly racing maneuver which shows just how cunning Max racecraft is.
