CBFC Bans The Voice of Hind Rajab

A film based on the heartbreaking story of 5-year-old Hind Rajab is receiving global recognition — even Oscar buzz and standing ovations.

But in India, Censor board has reportedly banned the film.

Why?

According to reports, concerns were raised that the film could affect India–Israel relations. Meanwhile, the same film has already been released in countries like the UK, France, and Italy — all of which share strong ties with Israel.

The film is based on a real incident from January 2024 during the Gaza conflict, where Hind Rajab, trapped in a car after an attack, spoke to the Palestine Red Crescent Society in a desperate call for help.
