Meta Tells Staff It Will Cut 10% of Jobs in Push for Efficiency

Meta plans to cut 10% of workers in an effort to boost efficiency and offset its heavy spending on artificial intelligence. #meta #facebook #business #tech #usa #worldnews

The company won’t hire workers for 6,000 open roles that it had intended to fill, and the layoffs will come on May 20.

Meta is making the cuts as part of its continued effort to run the company more efficiently and to allow it to offset the other investments it’s making.
