What happens when nine teenage girls, two women guides and a female filmmaker from the UK embark on a 40-day, 400-mile canoe expedition in the Canadian wilderness using the same gear as First Nations people and canoe trappers of the early 1900s? We’re talking hauling wooden wannigan boxes with leather tumplines, paddling and portaging wooden canoes, and cooking real food on an open fire.
