An introductory lesson on the snare drum technique of the late Elden C. "Buster" Bailey, as he taught it to me while I was a student at The Juilliard School. Based on three actions—the throw, the drop, and following the rebound with the wrist—Buster Bailey's technique is probably the most efficient, relaxed, and superior snare drumming technique in the world.
