Today's puzzle is the first time Simon has attempted a sudoku by Trevor Tao and it quickly becomes clear that Trevor's intellect is terrifying. It's called The First No L (see rules below!). If there was a dictionary definition of "Not Easy", this would be it. You can play the puzzle here:

Rules:
Normal Sudoku rules apply. In addition no L-shaped tetromino can contain four consecutive digits (for instance you can't have r2c9=5,r4c9=8). The little killer clue indicates cells on the indicated diagonal must sum to 40 and may contain repeated digits.
