Sewing a Regency Bodiced Petticoat

Hello and welcome to another installment in my Regency historybounding wardrobe! Summer may be over, but I'm still dreaming of warm sunlight and fierce summer storms... I plan on making myself some sheer cotton voile dresses in time for next summer, but first I really needed an underlayer which would create the right Regency silhouette and provide some coverage - in a historically-adequate way.

I was inspired by Bernadette Banner's video where she does a (much better) recreation of the same bodiced petticoat from the Metropolitan Museum of Art:
