“Four Aspects of Jesus' Equality with the Father" - John 5:19-29 (4.17.22) - Dr. Jordan N. Rogers
Dr. Jordan Rogers continues preaching verse-by-verse through The Gospel of John in this sermon from John 5:19-29 entitled, “Four Aspects of Jesus’ Equality with the Father.”
John’s purpose in John 5:1-18 was to record the reasons for which the Jews wanted to kill Jesus, particularly that He violated their Sabbath traditions and He also claimed God as His Father (Divinity). Now, in vs.19-29, Jesus declares at least four aspects of His equality with the Father. In this we see that Jesus has sovereign authority to administer regeneration, execute judgment, and implement resurrection.
The following is a sermon on John 5:19-29, and below you will find the video recording and a sermon outline to help you follow along as you watch. I hope this study tool helps you grow in your love for the Lord Jesus and in your obedience to Him.
