Since I already remade the Tomb Raider III main theme for Giovanni's TR3 HD remaster, but I wanted to do something different for this one. Considering the level takes place at Tower bridge of London, I wanted less epic/dramatic and ethnic sounds and a more urban vibe with fewer instruments and a more intimate feeling. Imagine this - nighttime, distant thunder, rain, cars occasionally passing by. Streets of London... A stranger approaches one of the pianos at the train or bus station and starts to play. More and more musicians join in - cellos, double bass, percussion... The lounge feeling of the percussion reminds me of the music playing at the stations, clubs, or bars... And one by one, they stop playing and continue on their way. Footsteps of a stranger on a rainy night, whistling the tomb raider motif into the night. Sounds like a perfect ASMR trigger to me. And I guess this is the first time I did some whistling for a Tomb raider inspired piece haha
