#BuyOrHold​: Skoda Kushaq vs Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier & Other Rivals

It seems like it was an eternity ago that Skoda disclosed its India 2.0 strategy. While the plan does include the expansion of its sales and service network, along with increased local component sourcing, the headline remains two new products coming in 2021.

The Skoda Kushaq is the very first Skoda car that’s been designed specifically for India and it’s the first of two cars being developed with the Indian market as the focus. Based on the MQB A0IN platform, the Kushaq is a petrol only 5-seater SUV that could be priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 17 lakh ex-showroom. It comes with a well-loaded features suite that includes a sunroof, 10-inch touchscreen, 6-speaker music system, LED headlights, connected car tech and more.

While there is no diesel engine offered, it does get two potent turbo-petrols: the 1.0L TSi and the 1.5L TSi, each offered with manual and automatic transmissions. The Kushaq is expected to go on sale in June 2021, with deliveries in July 2021.
