Political commentator Helen Dale shares her thoughts after seven Extinction Rebellion protesters broke the windows of Barclays bank in Canary Wharf, who they accuse of investing in fossil fuels.
She says that any reduction in global energy use will require fundamental, structural change, pointing out that the Internet cannot stay in its present form as it “uses more power than the global airline industry. And this is the global airline industry before COVID.”
