Digital Camera Sensor Technology - Part 2.The Image Processing Pipeline

To be able to understand how the imaging sensor works in our digital camera I thought it would be worth presenting a very brief overview of how the digital camera system works. From the quality and characteristics of light, the functions of the lens, the shutter mechanism, the sensor itself and the associated support element that are necessary to write a jpeg file to the memory card and to display the image on the LCD screen. It's a long video with a lot to assimilate but without some basic understanding of how the sensor fits within the processing pipeline the actual understanding of how the sensor works would be quite daunting.
