Tube Radio Repair versus Restore. Can I do it in an hour, and is it safe?

The issue doing simple repairs on tube radios has been around for some time, and I'm no stranger to the argument. I decided to see how long it would take me to repair a Telefunken Opus 8, which I would later restore. My goal is to explain why I refuse to carry out simple repairs on these devices, believing that they can be dangerous due to ageing components that can constitute a fire hazard.
