Donald Railway Overhead

Continuing east toward Golden, travellers cross two new structures needed to widen 3.5 kilometres of the Trans-Canada. They replaced bridges built in 1961, which had outdated railing design and inferior alignment. The new four-lane Donald Bridge spans the Columbia River, and the four-lane Donald Railway Overhead (shown here) crosses the Canadian Pacific Railway.
