Soap making DIY - Cold process

I use basic ingredients - Olive Oil and Coconut oil to make bath soap. The video demonstrates the "cold process" method.

Here are links to the supplies I used. These are Amazon affiliate links so if you use them it helps my channel out without costing you any extra. Thank you for supporting John's DIY Playground!

WARNING: This process calls for the use of Sodium Hydroxide - NaOH (also known as Lye). Lye is caustic and can burn skin on contact!! Use only with rubber gloves and goggles for eye protection. In the event of contact, flush with water immediately. Once this chemical reacts with our oils, it starts the process of saponification. More info at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saponification

WARNING: Do NOT use any aluminum pots or tools when using lye as it results in a potentially poisonous gas!!

WARNING: Always add Lye to water in small quantities, in that order. NEVER add water to lye crystals.
