BC Transit 1991 New Flyer D40LF - 8004

This is a ride on one of Victoria's 1991 New Flyer D40LF buses, equipped with a Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engine and Voith D863.3 transmission.
This is 8004, one of the very first Low-floor transit buses in North America! In this video 8004 is on a Route 39 "Royal Roads" from UVic on the 23rd March 2011. We board at Royal Oak Exchange and ride as far as Western Exchange in Colwood.

This bus was transferred from the Victoria fleet in November 2011 to Kelowna - then it was moved to Kamloops one year later, and ran in service there until 2013 when it was donated to Thompson Rivers University.
