Bas-Relief Embellishment Detail Blue Cake with Wafer Paper Flowers

This has to be one of the best cakes I have ever made. I made this cake more than a year ago but to this date it remains one of my very favourites.

This cake has featured on the Crystal Candy YouTube channel a while ago and it had so much feedback that I decided to re-edit my footage and upload it to my own channel as well. This way I can directly answer any of your questions about how I made this cake.

This cake was made during lockdown in South Africa with the Covid-19 pandemic hanging over our heads. I decided to make it because I needed to do something fun & positive during the hectic Covid times.

I absolutely love how this cake turned out and it has inspired many more of the cakes I have made over the last year. Brides also seem to love this cake and I have had many requests to make a cake similar to this for weddings over the last year. I can understand this... I mean... This cake is so pretty, so dainty and so bridal. Perfect for a wedding.

The bas-relief embellishments & flowers on this cake gives it such fine detail and I love it. The wafer paper flowers give it a soft and gentle feeling.
