Alabama football rumors from the first spring practice scrimmage: Bama Online (On3) reports that Ryan Coleman-Williams had an “awesome” spring scrimmage. This comes on the heels of him getting clowned online for his pro day drop. The talent is undeniable with Coleman-Williams: He just needs to be more consistent.

Alabama football injury news: 5-star freshman RB EJ Crowell has been limited with a “soft-tissue” injury. Crowell has had a few reps, but he is going to have play catch-up.

Kalen DeBoer kept it pretty “coach-speaky” in the QB battle between Austin Mack & Keelon Russell, although it does sound like Mack is slightly ahead: “They did a great job today, really. I love the aggressiveness that they have. They’re not gun-shy. They go and make plays attacking whenever they can get the right opportunities with the throws, and they’re making the throws. And the guys are coming through, making the plays for them and catching it. It sounds like Austin Mack is slightly ahead of Keelon Russell, at least for now.”
