Hi Nail Roomies! Someone recently asked on our blog to do a negative space tutorial, so here you have it a 'Negative Space Heart Gel Nail Design'! I hope you enjoy our first tutorial - and thank you for all your comments and likes. STEP 1 (with base coat already applied and cured)
Apply an even first coat of a gel colour.

STEP 2
Next use some nail cleanser or alcohol and start creating the heart shape. With an angular brush, start from the middle of the heart, mark it and start removing gel from that mark - this will help ensure your heart is centred and even.
Then cure under UV or LED.

STEP 3
Carefully apply a second coat and avoid painting on top of the heart shape - then cure.
If you'd like, you can apply a third coat if your color isn't even and strong enough.

STEP 4
Mix some glitter with clear gel, and with a fine art brush and outline the heart shape.
Then cure!
