Splice voyages to the edges of the solar system with Splice Explores: Outer Space. NASA has released jaw-dropping sounds from the space program into the public domain. These sounds include audio from spacecraft, launches, radar bleeps, and converted radio waves. They range from actual recordings to converted cosmic radio emissions from planets and other objects in space.

Splice sound designers used envelopes, filters, and effects to craft instruments and musical ideas with these cosmic transmissions. The resulting sounds are melodic, eerie, and fascinating. We’ve included Ableton presets to play cosmic matter like you would a synthesizer. Pretty wild, right?
