The Anunnaki are not part of a conspiracy theory. They are a historical and archaeological subject supported by real scientific evidence. This video presents an informative and structured explanation of who the Anunnaki were, based on discoveries from ancient Mesopotamia, especially the civilization of Sumer, recognized by historians and archaeologists as the first known civilization in human history. Before the rise of Sumer, humanity lived as nomads. With the emergence of Sumer, there was a transition to sedentary life, agriculture, architecture, and social organization—elements that define a civilization. This shift, known as the Neolithic Revolution, marked the beginning of cities, laws, writing, and structured belief systems.

The Sumerians left behind a vast number of clay tablets written in cuneiform script, preserved in locations such as the Library of Nineveh. These texts include laws, commercial records, hymns, and mythological stories. The accurate translation of these tablets became possible through the discovery of the Behistun Inscription, which served as a multilingual key, similar to the Rosetta Stone for Egyptian hieroglyphs. Among these writings, there are accounts of beings known as the Anunnaki. The term Anunnaki is understood by some researchers as meaning “those who came from the heavens to Earth,” and by others as “offspring of the god Anu.” Anu, or An, was the sky god, while Ki represented the Earth. The Anunnaki were considered gods by the Sumerians, and their role in creation myths is consistent: the gods created human beings to serve them after growing tired of performing labor themselves.

The transition from polytheism to monotheism can be traced historically through archaeological findings. In Sumerian society, gods were not singular entities but part of a divine hierarchy. These beliefs were carried into later traditions. Abraham, a central figure in monotheistic religions, originated from Ur, a Sumerian city dedicated to the moon god Nanna. This historical context shows that early monotheism emerged from environments previously dominated by polytheistic worship.

The works of Zecharia Sitchin introduced interpretations of these myths suggesting that the Anunnaki were extraterrestrial beings from a planet called Nibiru. His Earth Chronicles series proposed that the Anunnaki genetically engineered humans to mine gold for them. While these ideas are speculative and not academically verified, they have influenced public interest and brought attention to ancient texts that are still being studied today. Sitchin’s fictionalized account, The Lost Book of Enki, remains controversial but opened discussions on how mythology, archaeology, and science can intersect.

Only a fraction of the clay tablets discovered have been translated, and many of the narratives are incomplete or fragmented, making interpretation a complex task. The Anunnaki, as recorded by the Sumerians, were part of a structured pantheon that governed life and established order. There is no indication that these beings were symbolic or metaphoric; they were considered literal gods by the people of that time.

The study of the Anunnaki and the Sumerian civilization remains an evolving field. The video emphasizes the importance of historical evidence, archaeological records, and scholarly research as the foundation for understanding ancient beliefs.
