The Definitive Guide to WBPP: Cosmetic Correction Update (2024)

This is the Definitive Guide to WBPP in Pixinsight.
Cosmetic Correction is an integral part of the processing workflow in PixInsight and therefore is omnipresent in the configuration of WBPP. In 2024 a new method using masterdark frames was introduced that obviates the need to create a "template" (instance of CC outside of WBPP). The "Autodetect" method is still available. The former video on this topic (https://youtu.be/_hzwHDucCAg) in this series is still important to review.
