Linux File Sharing | Run Your Own NAS Server

Linux File Sharing | Run Your Own NAS Server - This video goes into details of how you can install a Linux file sharing server on your home network with custom setup from scratch.

It will help you gain better understanding of what is going on behind the scenes with most commercial and free / open source NAS storage devices and software.

This video focuses completely on custom storage setup with 2 disks in mirror RAID 1 mode using Debian Linux, Multidisk (MD) service, the mdadm tool, ssh and Webmin as the main components.

There are other free and open source software NAS solutions available that are also worth mentioning and they are:

1.) Open Media Vault - https://www.openmediavault.org
2.) Free NAS - https://www.freenas.org

Let me know in the comments section down below if you're interested in seeing more videos like this including these other 2 solutions.
