How to Make a Watercolor Sketchbook - Coptic Book Binding

Make your own watercolor sketchbook out of a pad of watercolor paper using the coptic book binding method. These sketchbooks lay flat and also increase the number of pages you can paint or draw on. (one pad of paper with 30 sheets turns into a sketchbook with 120 pages). This method also works with other paper pads, such as drawing, mixed media, pastel, or marker.

Waxed Thread
Large sewing needle
Awl
Xacto Knife
Bone folder (or the edge of a ruler)
Pencil

Extensions
