Food Insecurity: An Economic Perspective To Social Distancing | Suchir Gupta | TEDxNPSISSingapore

In my talk, I addressed the social distance between the rich and the poor with regards to the issue of food insecurity. After explaining some causes of global food insecurity, during the pandemic, I narrowed down to food insecurity in Singapore. I also discussed efforts by the Singapore Government to deal with the issue, and what we as the youth can do. Suchir's love for economics is what encouraged him to speak at TEDx this year. He has explored the topics of food waste and food insecurity in-depth and through his talk, wants to spread awareness about these socio-economic issues. Specifically, he wants to address how food insecurity has led to a social gap between the rich and the poor.
