OM-3 Hands-On Review: Fuji X100VI Killer? | Richmond Floodwall & Cemetery Shoot

This week I had the chance to test out the OM System OM-3, a compact powerhouse I originally bought as a birthday gift for my wife. She kindly let me borrow it for a few days, and I took it for a walk-through Richmond, Virginia—specifically the Floodwall and Hollywood Cemetery—to see what this camera could really do.

In this video, you’ll find:
• Out of camera JPEGs and edited RAW samples
• 8-bit video footage
• A bit of slow motion
• Real-world performance in city walkaround conditions
• A moment of reflection at Jefferson Davis’s grave, and why I found that monument unsettling

And yes... I say it: I think the OM-3 might actually be better than the Fujifilm X100VI, especially when it comes to flexibility and hybrid photo/video shooting. While it’s not lighter than the Fuji (when you add a lens into the equation), the OM-3 offers more customization, in-body stabilization, and Micro Four Thirds versatility that really impressed me.

If you’re considering the OM-3—or if you're an X100VI fan wondering what else is out there—this hands-on walkaround review might give you something to think about.

If you enjoy hybrid photography, photo walks, or just curious about lesser-hyped camera options—consider liking, subscribing, and dropping a comment. Would love to hear your thoughts on the OM-3 vs X100VI debate!
