Nod to Gmünd: 1968 Porsche 912

A Porsche 912 that had been left outside for years, rust working into every seam, stripped of its panels and left for dead, still held just enough of its shape to be worth saving. It was the kind of blank canvas Drew Hafner had been waiting for.

For him it was never about a showroom or a spec sheet. It was about standing in his own shop and feeling the echo of Gmünd. What it might have been like to roll a Porsche into the light in 1968, to see your own reflection in the work and know it was yours. Not a replica, not a restoration, but something that feels inevitable. A rusted shell turned into a memory made real.
