This lecture discusses mathematical skills necessary for success in the hydraulics and electrical control of hydraulic systems playlist including common hydraulic units, algebraic manipulation at the unit level, unit conversion, circular area, annular area, cylindrical volume, and tubular volume calculations, differences between extension and retraction and how the physical construction of the hydraulic cylinder affects output force and speed during extension and retraction, the relationship of volume flow rate and time, the relationship of displacement per revolution, rotational speed, and flow rate, and the relationship of force, pressure and area.
