F-150 Lightning Roadtrip to the Grand Canyon - Part 1

Our family hits the road from the Bay Area to the Grand Canyon in our Ford F-150 Lightning and things get real on Day 1. In this first leg of our epic 2000+ mile EV road trip, we head south through California's Central Valley, stop at the legendary Harris Ranch for lunch and face unpredictable wind and elevation changes through Bakersfield and Mojave. The route planner throws us a surprise detour, rerouting us from Barstow to Yermo’s Tesla Superchargers — and we barely make it to the Needles Electrify America station and our hotel.
