I personally found this easiest to complete while traveling to a wooded area near a stream. There is a Fox node just to the East of Wallace Station, with a stream very close by.

You can place Predator Bait to lure a Fox, kill it from a distance, and then head to the nearby stream to place Herbivore Bait to attract a Deer. Again, from a distance, kill the Deer.

So long as you haven't shot and/or killed anything in between placing the bait and killing these two animals, you'll clear Master Hunter 7!
