Week 33-34: Final weekly time-lapse as demolition ends: Mission accomplished!

The demolition excavators pack up and go home, and the construction excavators take over, as after 34 weeks, the demolition draws to a close. Although in reality the demolition and construction overlap, I am declaring week 34 to be the “official” last week of demolition, as the demolition company leaves during Monday of that week.

Time-lapse at 900x, covering the final two weeks: June 23 - July 4, 2014. The demolition ends on the July 4th week, so we’ll take a peek at the San Francisco fireworks to celebrate the completion of the demolition.

Since the demolition phase is ending, this will be the last of the weekly demolition time-lapses. However, I will be creating various closeup videos for these last weeks, and I plan to make a "master time-lapse" of the entire 34-week demolition, so there are still more videos coming. After that, this channel will probably be tapering off, although from time to time I may go back through the almost 3 TB of demolition video I've collected over the 9-month demolition period to see if there are additional interesting features I can make, perhaps with previously-unused footage. There will be some demolition work of the adjacent city block, but I do not currently have a good vantage point for that, so I don't know whether or not I will be able to get much good video of that, only time will tell. If I do, I will post it on this channel.

I will be starting a new channel to cover the construction of the new hospital, which is expected to continue well into 2018. I don't know what sort of video I'll be able to get of the construction once the outer shell is done and the construction moves inside, but we shall see! At the time of the release of this video here, the new channel doesn't have any videos yet, but after I finish up the remaining demolition videos, I'll be starting to post things to that new channel. I will put a link to the Hospital Construction Channel on this channel, and I hope you will join me over there!
