DC police officer shot on his way to work in Northwest neighborhood; 2 in custody
A D.C. Police captain was reportedly shot and injured in Northwest Monday afternoon, according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD). The officer was shot shortly after noon in the area of 7th Street and Oneida Place NW, MPD said. The reported shooting location was just several blocks from MPD's Fourth District station.
