Unlocking Potential: How Businesses Can Change Lives Through Hiring

Conscious Capitalists are always looking for fresh, new ways to elevate humanity, change lives andpositively impact their communities through business. At-risk youth, and those previously incarcerated, are segments of the population that have potential to thrive in the workplace and society if given the chance and the right tools. The Responsible Business Initiative for Justice recently launched Unlock Potential, an innovative hiring program funded by Walmart, that aims to provide meaningful career opportunities to at-risk youth, teaching them new skills and helping them stay focused on a path for success.

At this Virtual Gathering Dr. Marvin Carr, Director at the Walmart.org Center for Racial Equity, and Maha Jweied, CO-CEO at Responsible Business Initiative for Justice will discuss this groundbreaking initiative: the reasons behind its formation, how it creates opportunities for those in need, the long-standing effects for underserved communities and how success is being measured. This conversation will also offer insight and inspiration for anyone looking to expand their conscious hiring practices, support a diverse workforce and make a far-reaching impact.
