We've been waiting to get back on the road for what feels like forever, and we chose the peace and quiet of Exmoor for our first van life trip of the year. It felt a little strange getting back into the swing of things after so long away, but to be honest, it felt like putting on a pair of old, very comfortable shoes.

We're Chesca and Ben and River (🐶 ) and we usually live full-time in our self converted sprinter van, Sophia. After a year of travelling Europe, from Spain and Portugal to the island of Sicily, the pandemic brought us back home to the UK. Along with a secret project we'd been planning! We plan to drive our tiny home on wheels all the way from Cornwall, UK to Cape Town, South Africa. Starting in late 2021, we first need to make some major upgrades to Sophia, stripping her right back to the insulation and giving her some beefy upgrades. Join us on our journey as we turn Sophia into an overlanding rig, ready to tackle whatever Africa can throw at us.
