Nikon Z 9: Hi-Res Zoom with firmware version 3.00

Experience peak performance in videos and stills with the latest firmware version 3.00 for the Nikon #Z9.

Take your game a step ahead and go further with the Hi-Res Zoom feature that extends the telephoto range of your prime or zoom lens. The feature effectively doubles the zoom focal length without compromising on video resolution. With the Z 9, you can really have it all.

To enable the Hi-Res Zoom feature:
1. Under Video Recording menu, enable Hi-Res Zoom.
2. Under Custom Setting g2, assign [Fn1 button] and [Fn2 button] to Hi-Res Zoom + & -.
3. You can also adjust the Zoom speed by going to Custom Setting g8 - High-Res Zoom Speed and adjust to your preferred setting; a choice of [Slower], [Standard], and [Faster].

When you need to zoom in during video recording, simply press and hold the Fn1 to zoom in or Fn2 to zoom out accordingly.

Note that Hi-Res Zoom is only supported in 4K 24p, 25p, 30p or 1080p 24p, 25p, 30p, 50p, 60p, 100p and 120p frame size rates.
