Secret Garden Step by Step Acrylic Painting on Canvas for Beginners

Let's welcome spring with this easy, beginner acrylic painting of a secret garden through a keyhole!

I’m painting on a 12x16-inch stretched canvas, but you can paint on any type and size of canvas you like.

I used:
• A 1-inch flat brush
• A 1/2-inch flat brush
• A 1/4-inch flat brush
• A 1/4-inch filbert brush (optional)
• A fan brush
• Ruler
• Watercolor pencil and/or chalk
• Painter's tape

I’m using Liquitex Basics acrylic paint in the following colors:
• Mars Black
• Unbleached Titanium White
• Raw Umber
• Alizarin Crimson
• Dioxazine Purple
• Ultramarine Blue
• Light Green Permanent
• Phthalocyanine Green
• Primary Yellow
But you can use any colors you like.
