LEGO Chirping Bird Automaton

I made a pure LEGO chirping bird automaton that can flick its tail,
open and close its wings, swing its head and... chirp!
I was inspired by the 18th Century Singing Bird boxes.
How can it chirp?
Thanks to a very old and rare DUPLO figure whose neck makes a chirping noise when turned.

Although each movement repeats predictably after a few crank turns, the combination of the movements is pseudo-random. That means it seems random to the eye, but actually it repeats after a very long period, corresponding to 900 crank turns. This is achieved by choosing the gear ratios of the various movements so that they are coprime.

The machine uses cranks, cams, notches, gears, levers, gear racks, rubber bands and strings. No LEGO parts have been modified or glued.
