The symptoms of the fault are:
Low oil pressure
Engine hard to rotate
Metal debris in oil filter
Damaged crankshaft
Main rod bearings damaged
Metal debris in oil
Engine knocking noise
Engine loud noise
Engine doesn't start

Tools needed:
15/16 socket 3/4 drive
3/4 torque wrench
3/4 impact gun
1 inch impact gun

Parts needed
Crankshaft EA4720310701
Main bearing kit OEM A4720300740
Thrust axial bearing OEM A4720300045

torque specs
For the DD13
main bearing cap bolts to:
1 - 150 N·m (111 lb·ft)
2 - 300 N·m (221 lb·ft)
3 - 90° torque turn

Connecting Rod cap bolts to:
190 N·m (140 lb·ft) + 90° torque turn

For the DD15 and DD16
main bearing cap bolts to:
1 - 150 N·m (111 lb·ft)
2 - 250 N·m (184 lb·ft)
3 - 90° torque turn
4 - 90 ° torque turn (180° in total)

Connecting cap bolts torque to:
115 N·m (85 lb·ft) + 180° torque turn
