How the back-end api connects to the front-end app | PERN Stack

In this video I go through one of the most essential concept in web development by building a todo app. How to have persistent data and be able to change that data using a front end application, in this case React. In order to accomplish this I use the tools laid out in P.E.R.N.
P = Postgresql (A relational database system)
E = Express (A back-end javascript framework)
R = React (A front-end javascript library)
N = NodeJs (Used to run express and react and have access to npm command)

I also use Vite in this example instead of Webpack for a module bundler.

Tools:
Postgres: https://www.postgresql.org/
Express: https://expressjs.com/en/guide/routing.html
React: https://reactjs.org/
NodeJs: https://nodejs.org/en/
Vite: https://vitejs.dev/guide/
Visual Studio Code: https://code.visualstudio.com/
homebrew (for mac): https://brew.sh/

There is a lot of tooling and aspects to learn about when making a full stack web application, but when it all comes together, it is the most beautiful things in the world. Good luck and have a great day!
