A Roadmap for Recovery: Shaping the Future of Work in a Post-Covid World
Prior to the outbreak of the COVID-19 crisis and the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement most experts believed that changing technologies would be the dominant force shaping the future of work. While technology will still be a major force, so too will be the changes required in business practices and public policies to address the economic and social consequences of the pandemic and calls for racial justice.
Thomas Kochan discusses how business leaders can use advancing technologies and the lessons learned from these current crises as a roadmap for recovery. We outline how business leaders might work with other stakeholders in government, labor, education and civil society to build a new social contract capable of achieving and sustaining a more productive, resilient, inclusive and equitable economy.
