Meghan Markle's podcast a 'really long hour'

Sky News Washington correspondent Annelise Nielsen says Meghan Markle was “constantly making comparisons” to tennis player Serena Williams.

“Do you know what’s a really interesting similarity? Their relationships with their fathers,” she told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

Ms Nielsen said in the book around Meghan Markle, ‘Finding Freedom’ by Tom Bowers, Thomas Markle –who got “quite a flattering portrayal” – was strong in pursuing the actor’s career with her.

“He supported her along the way and of course now they don’t talk,” she said.

“That could have been an interesting topic to discuss when you are talking about how women break out of the stereotypes that are put on them.”

Ms Nielsen said Ms Williams’ relationship with her rather was likewise unexplored – and the podcast “felt like a really long hour”.
