In this tutorial, Ian takes you through the process of how to create and render out a video with a transparent background in Adobe After Effects.

- He initially creates an Adobe Illustrator document and saves it as a .png file to have the image with a transparent background.
- He then takes the .png file and imports it into After Effects, so he can animate the image overlay
- After animating the video he then exports as an Animation file with the RGB+Alpha channel selected
- The video with the transparent background is ready to be placed over other projects
