Metallica (Cow Palace) Daly City, CA May 10,1992

I came across a YT video the other day on the history of the Cow Palace and found it cooly nostalgic. The amount of legendary music artists that Bill Graham presents booked here from the 60s-90s is astounding. Here is one of them. The first time I saw Metallica headline this building was on the Justice tour December 88 (86 supporting Ozzy was the first which I was at). This was the start of the band embracing the "audio taping allowed policy". I brought a Sony walkman (D3?) and taped it from my seat. Came out really good for an audience audio capture. Fast forward to 1992 the Black Album tour where they added "video camcorders allowed" to the taping policy. Naturally, I took advantage of this added perk and brought a tripod with me. Looking back I wished and practiced shooting with a tripod ahead of time to get used to it as this was the one of the longest sets in Metallica history. 24 songs at over 3hrs!!! Because this show happened on mothers day, Kirk decided to wish us all Happy Motherfuckers Day!

Coincidentally, this coming weekend May 4, I will be at this place for an awesome punk rock beer fest called Punk in the Park with the Descendents headlining. I recommend if you like punk rock to GO!!!
