So It Begins, Build Contest

Hello everyone and welcome back to Old Dad's Modeling Mess. In todays video it's time, time for the channels 1st build contest. This is a scratch build/kit bash build so there is lots of room for ideas. You can use whatever parts you wish including 3D printed parts. The only 2 rules are it has to have an armor theme and you need to be a member of our discord. I plan on going with a "sci fi" theme Hover Tank with maybe some steam punk thrown in there. I'll be working on this, the BT 42 being recovered from the water and my wifes "horse project" lol.
I looked online for some ideas and seen the Halo Scorpion Tank and it had a cool hull if it didn't have all the other stuff on it. I went in blender and was messing around with it and removed all that stuff. I sat there for a few hours and made a pretty cool looking turret for it that I could 3D print. I was going to scratch build the hull from styrene sheet and print the turret but then I seen that old panther hull and turret and decided to use those instead. This is the same panther I stole the running gear from for the T34 build and I used the hull to test different weld beads on.
As you can see I cut the top of the hull off and replaced it with styrene sheet and made a piece for the front as well. For the turret I just added some styrene to the sides so it has a long sloped front. The gun I will be using is 1 I found on Thingyverse, a gatlin rail gun. I think that with cables and stuff running all over it should give me the "sci fi" look I'm after. I've also found another tank similar to the scorpion tank that I will use a part of to make the "hover tracks/drive from. I found a 1/35th scale panther and used the hull from it to form the hover drive so it fits nice and tight up against the hull.

I will make a video of all the builds and put it up here and let the viewers pick the winner. My build will not be available to vote on so it will be 1 of you viewers who wins. It doesn't matter if you have your own channel or the type of kits (planes, trains or automobiles) you build everyone is welcome in our discord.
