«You Are Worth Waiting For» is a contemplation of the season of waiting - in the sphere of romance. I came to realize that this part of any sincere relationship is what makes it incredibly solid and limitless deep.

At first, It appears to be painful and distant, so far from what the heart desires in the present moment. But because of this season - it has in fact multiplied the layers of loving. Because of waiting, the object of your desire became unique, more sacred, more valuable, more rare, it has become truly sanctified.

I have in heart to share with you, two life changing lessons I had from both secular and theological writing.

In secular writings, the book «the little prince» resumed this with simplicity :

The little prince went away, to look again at the roses.
"You are not at all like my rose," he said. "As yet you are nothing. No one has tamed you, and you have tamed no one. You are like my fox when I first knew him. He was only a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But I have made him my friend, and now he is unique in all the world." ...."It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important." (the little Prince, chapter 21, page 46).

In theological writing, the book of Genesis completely changed my vision of waiting. It relates that for a considerable moment (Genesis doesn’t teach how long), Adam was alone. Eve wasn’t created. Adam wasn’t asking for a wife all of a sudden after its creation. It came to him progressively. At this point, when it became more urgent, God sent him miscellaneous animals to see if Adam would find in any of them a special link to satisfy his loneliness.

Certainly God knew Adam would not find in them any partner, and many believe it was done on purpose, to stretch out Adam’s desire to the maximum. Frédéric Louis Godet says this : The purpose of God in making the animals pass before Adam was to awaken in him the feeling of his isolation, so that the help which was to be given to him, would begin by being the object of his desire.

Seeing all these beings of various shapes and gaits pass before him, he had to express by a name the nature of each of them and thereby characterize them as foreign to his own nature; the result of this examination should therefore be the awareness of his complete isolation in the midst of the animal world. (commentaries on Genesis,1889)

When Eve was finally created, the joy of Adam was limitless deep,

Regarding the music itself, it starts with the piano and the soprano voice, representing the feminine, illustrating the flourishing desire of the woman.

At 1m54, the cello enters, playing the same soprano melody, representing the masculine. At 2:15, the high note from the cello is meant to paint the intensity of the man’s love - which is at this point painful in its core.
The end concludes by their reunion. The last string sections serve to combine all their layers of loving.
