Flandre and I are old friends.
We went to college together.
For a while, we had something serious going.
I actually bought a proposal ring for her one day.
I never told her that, though.
One morning she was at my house and it was raining outside.
Everything looked so beautiful, peaceful, sublime.
I knew that was the time to ask the big question.
I didn't do it then for some reason.
I never did.
It wasn't long after that we started drifting apart.
She eventually found someone else.
He's a great guy, don't get me wrong.
In fact, I'm very happy for the both of them.
It's been quite a few years since they got married.
They already have two kids and one more on the way.
Time sure does fly.
Hardly a day goes by that I don't think about what could of happened had I followed through with it that early Spring morning.

Well, the past is the past.
I'm married to my job now.
It feels like it has been forever since I last saw Flandre.
What I wouldn't give to hold her hand again.
