In 2016, Michelle was diagnosed with papillary thyroid carcinoma — a moment that changed our lives. Thanks to the incredible care at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, she had successful surgery and has been cancer-free ever since.

Every year, we come back for her annual follow-up, and every year we’re reminded why MD Anderson is one of the best in the world. From the doctors and nurses to the support staff and scheduling team, the service and compassion we receive here are unmatched.

We’re sharing our story today not just as a health update, but as a message of hope for anyone walking through a cancer diagnosis. There is life on the other side of a bad diagnosis. There is healing. And there is help.
