We say "Au revoir" to all the beautiful people I met in Dakar. The dilema for us sailors. But "Au revoir" means "See you". We head out in the afternoon to beat the fishermen who lay out their nets in the late afternoon. But they were there already. Then the control unit for the autopilot shite the bed. At one point it tacked the boat into huge waves and didn’t release. I heard the belt growling under the stress of the motor, and that was that. The belt didn’t hold anymore. From now on, it would be Scotsman Thorfinn, me and bungee cords that would keep Galopin on course.
