Grilled Bread | Can you Bake Bread on a Grill? Yes!

Grilled bread? No, I do not mean slicing up a loaf of bread and cooking them on a grill - although that does sound good. I am here to answer the question, can you bake bread on a bbq grill? I can confidently tell you that yes, yes you can bake bread on an outdoor grill. All you need is the right amount of temperature and heat over time and you can bake bread.

I love to make bread but in the summer it gets too hot in the kitchen to bake bread in the oven so I cook it outside on my propane gas grill (charcoal should work just fine). I use the same pans and recipe that I use for inside baking. I was worried that a smoke flavor from the grill may get baked into the bread but I have never had that trouble. In this video I baked two loaves of bread on my grill but you could just as easily bake buns, rolls or even flatbreads / pizza on a grill. My outdoor grill is turning into my favorite summertime appliance. Just close the lid, apply heat, watch the temperature on the thermometer and you are grilling bread.
