Live Build: Automate LinkedIn Engagement without looking like a bot - Part 1

Engagement grows reach. Done badly, it gets you flagged. In this build I create a LinkedIn engagement workflow that looks human and runs on rails. It pulls a predefined list, batches activity, fetches posts via Unipile, skips reposts, checks if you already commented, then uses an AI agent to write short, relevant comments and add reactions. Airtable tracks states like complete, engage, first delay and second delay so you never hit the same profile twice in a day.

What you will learn

How to schedule engagement windows that align with your posting times

Limiting and randomising volume to avoid suspicious spikes

Pulling provider IDs and posts with Unipile

Skipping reposts and throttling API calls to mimic human pace

Detecting whether you already commented before generating a new one

Writing concise AI comments that sound like you

Updating Airtable statuses to manage delays and prevent duplicates

Stack used

n8n for orchestration

Airtable for lists, states and delays

Unipile API for LinkedIn profiles, posts and comments

Your LLM of choice for comment generation
